Kofi Boachie-Ansah

Kofi is a multi-disciplinary artist who has been actively involved in private business ventures in the creative sector and is an advocate for the re-thinking, realization and creation of sustainable structures and frameworks for the arts in Ghana and Africa. Kofi is a multi-disciplinary artist who has been actively involved in private business ventures in the creative sector and is an advocate for the re-thinking, realization and creation of sustainable structures and frameworks for the arts in Ghana and Africa. Having graduated from the Art and Design Faculty of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kofi has worked in Academia, established and worked for and with various creative design and advertising agencies, record companies, publishing companies to name but a few.

His creative work is expansive with an extensive experience as a record producer, in ethnomusicology, sound design, foley, ADR, writing and arranging across multiple genres, tracking, mixing, FoH, Cue and Monitor for sound reinforcement/ live sound, film scores, acoustics, studio design, advertising campaigns and brand audits, print and digital design, still and motion-graphics, 2d and 3d animation, visual effects, painting, sculpture, cymatics and film.

He credits his love of music to his parents who always played music at home and considers it as one of several languages he communicates with in addition to several other forms of art he creates. He has worked with an extensive list of legendary, established, budding, independent, and, relatively unknown artists; diverse brands and corporations, both locally and abroad in various capacities.

He is a founding member of the Audio Engineers and Producers Association of Ghana, a professional association that was established to unite all audio engineers and music producers in Ghana, to educate, inform and teach its members about old, new and emerging technologies; to foster growth and adopt professional practices to establish a music industry in Ghana.
